Hey friends, it’s Thursday and that means I have a new yoga class for you! This week I’ve decided to do an advanced Yin Yoga practice using a yoga wheel 🙂 My little cat Cleo also pays us a visit in this class, she was fascinated by the wheel!

This 40 minute Yin Yoga practice using a yoga wheel will help you get into some very deep backbends, working our way into Kapotasana pose. This practice is NOT suitable for beginners and definitely not suitable for anyone with a slipped or herniated disc!!!

The poses we’ll be doing include:
– Supported Fish
– Modified Supported Bridge
– Supported Bridge
– Waterfall
– Puppy
– Splits
– Kapotasana/Full Camel Pose

This is a great class to do if you’re trying to improve your backbends and increase overall flexibility. We will open up the shoulders, chest, hamstrings and hip flexors while also deepening the range of motion in the spine.

When you are trying to stay healthy it is most important to stay on track. Set up some goals for yourself and get excited about those goals. Exercising isn’t just about losing weight and staying healthy, it’s about having fun and you should always remember that. Make it rewarding to you. The advice that follows will help to get you on track and help you have a good time in the process.

Music is a great way of spicing up your workout routine. When you feel the beat of the music and hear the rhythms of the songs you love, you cannot help but get up and get moving. For many, moving to the beat of a song seems almost instinctual, and it’s also a great way to make your workouts a little more entertaining. When you exercise along to music, it is easy to forget that you are trying to burn calories. It feels so good and your mind does not dwell on negatives.

It’s a lot easier to get plenty of exercise if you have a good friend to share the experience. Having someone to chat with while you are exercising makes your workout go by faster. You and your buddy will be shocked at how fast you lose weight when you do it together.

Interactive fitness games can be excellent supplements to your current workout regime. Using exercise games can allow you to have fun while you are sweating, instead of getting discouraged from how tired you may feel. A fun atmosphere makes it easy to forget you are exercising, allowing you to simply relax and enjoy yourself, without complaining about how fatigued you are.

Go shopping and get something snazzy to wear while working out. Having new clothes can make you feel motivated to shed pounds. There are various styles and colors to select from. Wearing your new exercise clothes makes you want to get going for a walk, a run, or a trip to the gym.

Try to avoid too much repetition. Switch it up as much as possible. If you want to be productive, you must avoid being bored. If you aren’t motivated, then you might stop working out. Changing a workout routine around regularly is a good idea to keep things fresh. Variety is important to keeping yourself interested in work outs. When you stop being active, then the risk is very high that you will backtrack on your progress and lose all the ground you have gained.

Each time you successfully achieve a fitness goal, give yourself a reward. This will give you just the push you need to keep up the good work. Even a small reward encourages you by acknowledging the effort you put forth to earn it. Choose something you will joyfully anticipate, and make sure that you actually indulge yourself once you’ve earned it! The most important thing is to keep the motivation going, and if a slice of cake does it for you, go for it!

Working out is not a punishment and should not be viewed as one! Put fun into your workout routines and you will look forward to your exercise time. These tips will put the fun back into your exercise routine.
