Although there is plenty of that in the powerlifting world and at the M.G.G., there are plenty of strong powerlifting women out there in the power word too. Note: We film virtually every session at the M.G.G. Some for highlights, most for training purposes. This video is a little of both as we have a world champion, some national champions but also some who are very new to the sport and video footage is useful for their growth in the sport as form breaks are forgotten by the lifter, but always there on film. This is merely a reminder so viewers do not think this is a “how to” video as some lifters’ form breaks with max effort lifts and when that happens, the coaches step in and we fill in the weak areas so there are fewer and fewer issues like that. Experienced powerlifters will know this but sometimes when you post videos newer to the sport or non-powerlifters will question the arch in the back on a bencher or a wider squat stance, bench boards, etc, and think that when a lifter’s form breaks that this is how they always lift.
