Man boobs are an embarrassing situation but this video will break down why man boobs happen and the different treatment options out there to get rid of or eliminate your man boobs.

Gynecomastia (‘gyno’) is the technical name for man boobs. It’s a medical condition characterized by swollen male breast tissue caused by a hormonal imbalance. Aaron Marino of alpha m. describes how the small breast buds behind the nipples can develop. It’s not dangerous but it’s embarrassing.

It’s most common with teen boys and men who take steroids. If you are taking steroids and you go off, the puffiness will shrink. If you stay on steroids long term, however, your body doesn’t re-regulate and the breast tissue can become hard. The tissue will have to get cut out.

For teenage boys, puberty hits the body. Gyno can happen, and it typically occurs for 6 months to 2 years. It will go away. However, sometimes it will hang out too long and the tissue will harden. In this situation, a consultation with a plastic surgeon is advised. Alpha displays examples and discusses.

  33. I've had it through my teen years. Doctors recommend losing weight and no surgery until you're 18-ish. I got surgery at 17 (my insurance payed for it because I was underage), best fucking thing I ever did. Confidence gone through the roof, started working out, life approved 110%… So my advice is lose weight if you're really fat like me (it helps a little), wait out till you're 17 and GET CUT SON!

    I've had them all my life. I was not very physical as a kid and couldn't play sports and run around ect due to having a hip disorder since birth which unfortunately made me very overweight and of course 'man boobs' which just solidified and became prominent and wouldn't go away. Finally 5 years ago I was able to get into fitness and I went swimming and got into healthy eating and lost 65lb in weight but unfortunately the damn things were still there. I had surgery and they are much better but of course will never be perfect. All the advice here is on point and highly recommend wearing a tight fitting tank top underneath. After surgery I'm much more comfortable to feel good in the clothes I want to wear for my style but I would also add working on your self and core values and social skills also helped so much to appreciate who i am and not be a victim to them. It's about just trying to just trying to put in the extra bit of effort be the best version you can with what you have
