Some people are reluctant to go all out when they decide to get into shape, finding it hard to get started. They may not know where to start, or may lack the motivation to actually begin. The best way to approach the situation is to make sure to have fun with it. Here are some tips to help you get going.

Listen to your favorite tunes while you workout. Listening to music is a natural way to encourage yourself to get moving. Working out to music is like dancing, which can make it more enjoyable. You will not even notice how tired or sore your muscles are when you are enjoying yourself. Music can make the difference between stopping after 15 minutes and stopping after 30 minutes.

Working out is a chore unless you take specific steps to make it fun. Figure out a way to turn workouts into social events. Take walks on your lunch breaks or at the gym with some friends. Spending time hanging out with your buddies and catching up on things will make the workout go much more quickly, and will make even the most tedious exercise routine bearable. It’s always encouraging to have someone to share your plans and activities with.

Workout video games are exceptional exercise tools. Time will quickly pass as you work out because you will spend the whole time feeling like you are simply playing an entertaining game. If you can take the focus away from your body, you should be able to increase your endurance and exercise longer.

Go to the mall and get some workout clothing. Look for clothing that makes you look and feel great. When you are deciding on your exercise clothing, feel free to be creative! You will find a vast array of choices in styles, patterns and colors of workout clothes. You can express your true self with creative, fun outfits. The more confident you feel about your workout wear, the more confident you feel during your workouts.

Occasionally change up your exercise regime to avoid becoming bored. It is important to keep motivation high so you don’t quit. You should update your exercise routine on a consistent basis. Not only does it make your exercise time more fun, it also keeps you from losing interest too quickly. Becoming uninterested in a workout is the worst possible thing that can happen, as it will make getting back into your workout routine difficult.

Make sure that you reward yourself along the way. Rewards are wonderful motivators. Choose a simple yet self-indulgent reward, such as a piece of your favorite candy or a new pair of shoes. Choose a reward that is easy to get and enjoyable. By giving yourself small rewards along the way, you will help yourself remain motivated in your quest for optimum fitness.

Despite what many people think, working out can be fun! These suggestions will turn your workouts into an enjoyable routine that you anticipate each week.

  3. Hi Lucy! Would u recc doing this with an ankle strap instead? I find the handle kind of difficult because it tends to slip off my foot. Also the cable always rubs against my inner thighs/legs and its quite distracting do you have any tips for that? Thanks so much!

  4. I would definitely say that the way you showed would produce more glute activation because the form is closer to the form of the floor donkey kick backs.
